
We participated in the Hatton-Northwood invitational speech meet on Saturday February 17. We had two students who picked up categories that morning to help make them state qualifying and they both made finals in those events!

Headed to the Ship! Spoiler Junior Kruiser Burns is headed to the state championship match of the 121 pound weight class after winning his semifinal match in overtime. Championship action starts tomorrow about 5:00. You can view it on BEK tv. Shaiden Thomas and Emma Johner both went 1-1 on the day and will wrestle tomorrow to try place. Their matches start about 10:00.

GIGANTIC SPOILER SHOUTOUT
Spoiler Seniors Jack Kern and Abram Sevigny have been named to the North Dakota Academic All State Teams. This award is given out annually by the North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals, with selection based on GPA, ACT scores, extra curricular activities, community involvement, and leadership qualities.
Jack was named to the Gold team and Abram to the Bronze team, putting both in the top 15 in Class A basketball schools. Jack is the son of Janice and Joe Kern. Abram is the son of Stacie and Ed Sevigny.

REGION CHAMP!
Congrats to Kruiser Burns who claimed the East Region Individual Wrestling Championship at 121 pounds today.
Kruiser will head to state next Thursday and Friday along with Shaiden Thomas, who finished 7th at 145. They join Emma Johner who qualified yesterday.





Best of luck to the Spoiler Hockey Team as they start regional play today. The Spoilers head to Devils Lake to take on the Firebirds in an EDC tourney Play-in game. Puck drop is 1:00. If you can't make it in person, the game will be streamed on NFHS network or listen on KXPO!

SPOILER SHOUTOUT
Today's Spoiler Shoutout goes to Coach Dave Muhonen. Coach Muhonen has made the decision to step down as the Head Spoiler Football Coach to spend more time with his family. The Spoiler Activities Department would like to thank Coach Muhonen for the time, effort, and commitment he has put into the position for the past 7 years.
Coach Muhonen will remain the head boys golf coach and continue to teach Social Studies at GHS. Longtime assistant and Spoiler alum Donovan McMillian will take over the head coaching position.
