STATE BOYS BASKETBALL INFO:
Our boys basketball team will play in the Division A State Tournament this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Fargodome. The Spoilers begin tournament play Thursday at 2:45 vs Beulah. Our band will rocking the tunes before the game, so get out your Spoiler gear and have some fun.
Thursday the games will be broadcast on WDAY EXTRA or channel 8.2 over the air or Channel 592 on Midco. If we win, games Friday and Saturday will be ON WDAY/WDAZ or 8.1 or 608 on Midco. All tournament games can be streamed on the inforum website.
Tickets are available at the door or through ticketmaster. Spoiler parents are in section 25 if you are looking to get tickets near our section. Costs are $15 per session for adults, $6 for students. Tournament passes (for all 12 games) are $66 for adults, $30 for students.
Other events this week:
Wednesday at about 8:35 am, the boys will be led through the school by our band in our traditional walk-through celebration. Later that evening our local Emergency Personnel will lead the Spoilers out of town with a lap through Grafton. They will leave the school at approximately 6:00 pm so get out and line the streets for the fun.
Our awesome Booster Club is sponsoring hospitality rooms Thursday and Friday evening at the Delta Hotel in Fargo. If you would like to donate, please contact a board member.
Spoil Squad dress up days are Thursday-Western, Friday-Neon, Saturday-Spoiler Spirit.

We competed at the Grand Forks Speech Classic today at Red River High School. This was a Class A meet so I am very proud of everyone who participated! Grand Forks always has a saying for their meet, todays saying was “Mountains of Words”

WE ARE GOING TO STATE!
The Spoiler Boys Basketball team has qualified for the State Division A Tournament by defeating Wahpeton today. The Spoilers play at the Fargodome March 14th, 15th, 16th to try bring home a state title! More details to come later!

The Grafton Concert Choir and High School Band participated in large group contest on Wednesday!
Band received an excelent performance rating (2nd highest possible) and choir received a Superior Rating (Highest possible)
The choir also received an Outstanding Performance award, which is only award to one vocal ensemble from the festival.

We participated in the Central Valley Speech meet today. We had five students who all made it to finals in at least one event!

Grafton JH band traveled to fargo participated in NDSUs Raging Red band festival today!
They were able to play for a panel of three esteemed band conductors and were awarded a silver award (score of 87) and an outstanding section award for percussion. Noah Suda was also awarded for an outstanding solo!
After performing, they got to work with a judge and get feedback and advice on the best ways to improve and play their instruments!
It was a great performance and clinic for these young musicians!
Boys Regions Starts Next Week in Mayville. The Spoilers take the number 1 seed into the tournament and will play the winner of Thompson and Hillsboro/Central Valley on Tuesday. The Spoilers will also play Thursday.
Under the new format, the region champion advances to State the next week, while the 2nd and 3rd place teams will play Saturday, March 9th in Fargo vs Region 1 teams.
We are anticipating extremely large crowds on Tuesday and Thursday of the tournament. If you want to guarantee yourself a seat, you will want to get there early. If the gym reaches capacity patrons will be turned away, so get there early to fill Mayville State with Maroon and Gold. Games will be live streamed for free on the "Your Live Event" YouTube Channel if you can't make it down.

The Spoiler Boys Basketball game scheduled for today vs HCV will be made up tomorrow Wednesday, February 28th at 4:00. It will only be a varsity game in Central Valley, no JV game.
Reminder when school is cancelled, extra curricular are as well, so that means no boys basketball at HCV today.

Best of luck to Spoiler Senior Siri Olson as she competes for the Devils Lake Firebirds in the state tournament for girl's hockey. Siri is the second leading scorer in the state behind teammate Ashlyn Abrahamson.

JAMMED PACKED Tomorrow, Wednesday February 21st, we will be playing a boys basketball game in front our student body. It is going to be a jam packed affair that will hopefully leave memories that will last for years. We know several parents and fans will also want to attend the game so here is the information for those attending. Our student body will be sitting behind our bench, behind the scorers table and on the north side of the "Spoilers" Bleachers. We are asking the general public to sit in the two sections to the south side of the gym (Stephen Argyle fans can sit behind their bench). This will be the area outlined in red in the picture attached. There will also be much congestion in the parking lot, so you may need to plan on extra time to get into the gym. Concessions will be available, if you are planning to duck in during a break from work. Starting line ups for the varsity are scheduled for 1:30. Reminder, the varsity will play before the jv. We will also be live streaming the game on our "Go Spoilers" YouTube channel, so if you can't make the game, you can still watch it online. Get out your maroon and gold gear and cheer on the Spoilers!

Congrats to Spoiler 8th grader Jack Green who has qualified for the State MathCounts competition to be held in Bismarck on March 25th! He earned this recognition by being one of the top individuals in the region following last week's county competition.

We participated in the Hatton-Northwood invitational speech meet on Saturday February 17. We had two students who picked up categories that morning to help make them state qualifying and they both made finals in those events!

Headed to the Ship! Spoiler Junior Kruiser Burns is headed to the state championship match of the 121 pound weight class after winning his semifinal match in overtime. Championship action starts tomorrow about 5:00. You can view it on BEK tv. Shaiden Thomas and Emma Johner both went 1-1 on the day and will wrestle tomorrow to try place. Their matches start about 10:00.
