SPRING SPORTS!
It has been an extremely busy last week or so in Spring Sports, as the school year and each sport approach the finish line.
Track is currently competing at the State Meet in Bismarck. We have already seen great success for track and field as their season comes to a close. Yesterday at the state meet, Spoiler Senior Jordan Sunstrom placed 6th in shot put. Last week, Spoiler Senior Jack Kern was selected as the boys Senior Athlete of the Year for our region, while the girl's varsity team took 1st place. Way to go ladies! Also, girls head coach Krysten Stutlien was chosen as Region Girls Track Coach of the Year! The State meet will pick back up again at 1:00 today and finish tomorrow.
The Spoiler Softball team finished 1st in the North Division of Region 2. Unfortunately, the Spoilers were upset in the opening round of the Region tournament by the Carrington Cardinals to bring their season to a close. Special congratulations to Spoiler Seniors Siri Olson and Nicole Johnson for earning All-Region honors. Also, a big thank you to all the people who helped work at the Region tournament held here in Grafton this past Monday and Tuesday!
Spoiler Boys Golf is nearing the end of their season. They have a state qualifying meet on Saturday in Lakota and then head to the Regional Meet on Tuesday in Devils Lake. Shootout to Spoiler Sophomore Reggie Rice who previously qualified for State at the Cavalier meet earlier this month.
The Spoiler Baseball team has had quite the season. The Spoilers qualified for the state tournament on Wednesday in dramatic fashion by winning the Region 4 Championship over Park River Area. The Spoilers will begin state tournament action Thursday, May 30th at about 6:15 vs Bottineau. The tournament will be played at Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown. Special Congrats to Tony Villarreal, Kyler Droog, Ryan Hanson and Ty Storey for being selected to the All-Region team and Tony for being chosen as Region 4 Senior Athlete of the Year!

SPOILER BASEBALL IS HEADED TO STATE.
It has been a whirlwind the last few days for Spoiler Extracurriculars, plenty of updates ahead!


Congratulations to all spoilers involved with State Music in Bismarck! it was a highly successful event!
Spoilers took home 9 stars out of their 14 entries, the highest possible rating.
An added congratulations to Emily Kerian, who earned an outstanding performance award, which is only given once per judge. She will be honored at the 2025 Parade of Champions presentation!






Attention 6th-11th grade parents! There was an email sent out about summer weight training last week. If you are interested your student needs to login and fill out the google doc using their gospoilers email, parents will not be able to fill out. We had fun in Bismarck while we were there. We checked out the mall and had some wood fire pizza. Congratulations to these two that competed at the state tournament. Bryce in Extemporaneous Speaking and Vangie in Inform.



We started our morning off with the walkthrough for our two students competing at the State Speech Meet tomorrow in Mandan. Congratulations to Vangie Larson and Bryce Kringstad for qualifying for state.




Members of Concert Choir and HS band were able to participate in the regional small group contest with their high school peers! It was a massive success with 14/27 of the entries receiving the highest possible rating and are eligible to move on to State Music in May! (Only 33% of entries can advance) Spoiler Freshman Emily Kerian also received an Outstanding Performance award, which are only awarded once per judge!
Congratulations to all students involved. We are proud to have such dedicated students. Spoilers rocked.

We competed at our Regional tournament at Northwood this past Saturday. We have Bryce Kringstad who is a regional champion in Extemporaneous Speaking and will be competing at the state tournament. We also have Vangie Larson who took second place in the category of Inform. She will also be competing at the state competition. Congratulations to all of these kids and all of the hard work that they have put in this season!

The Grafton Concert Choir represented at the North Dakota Music Educators association conference in Bismarck on Thursday! They were honored as the featured choir of the state for the concert hour! We are proud of all of these bright young kids and the joy that they bring through music!

Our winter season wound down last weekend and we had several individuals receive individual accomplishments.
Hockey - Siri Olson was both All-EDC and All-State
Girls Basketball - Kate LeClerc was named All Region
Wrestling - Kruiser Burns, Shaiden Thomas, and Emma Johner qualified for state with Kruiser winning the state title at 121 pounds.
Boys Basketball - Braylon Baldwin, Tony Villarreal, and Kyler Droog were named All-Region. At the state tournament, Braylon and Kyler were named to the All Tournament team. Braylon also received All State Honors.
Congrats to our winter sport athletes!
