Updated Bus Route Information

posted Aug 30, 2016, 11:08 AM by Jeff Rerick

There are approximately 140-150 students riding the after school inter-city bus which has created busing issues due to overcrowding.  To assist, the school district has created a separate afternoon bus route to Chase which will depart from the north side of Century on 15th street at 3:30 pm.  The bus will return from Chase to the school to run the afternoon inter-city route making all of its scheduled stops.  No additional stops will be added, but students will be able to get off at any of the scheduled stops.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work at providing busing service to meet the needs of our students and families.

Registration Update

posted May 10, 2016, 8:50 AM by Jeff Rerick   [ updated Jul 18, 2016, 12:08 PM ]

In 2015, Grafton Public Schools introduced online registration.  The purpose of online registration is to allow parents to avoid the long wait times during registration and register their students in the comfort of their own home.  GPSD #3 has signed a contract with K12 Online to host and provide the online registration service.

Current Students
Parents of students currently enrolled in GPSD #3 will log into PowerSchool and click on the K12 Online icon to get to their individual student's registration portal.  Parents of multiple students in the school will need to switch students after they have completed registering their current student.  They can do this by selecting the name just below the PowerSchool logo.  There may be occasions when the link will not open up correctly, just try a few more times and it will typically work.
*If you do not remember your password, please utilize the "forgot your password" link.  If there are any additional problems, please contact your respective school office at 701-352-1930; Opt 1 for Century Elementary, Opt 2 for Central Middle School and Opt 3 for Grafton High School.

Maus named superintendent of the year

posted Dec 8, 2015, 12:36 PM by Chris Larson

(Editor's Note: The following story originally appeared on the Grand Forks Herald website on December 8, 2015 and was written by Jennifer Johnson of the Herald. It is reprinted here with permission.)

The superintendent of Grafton (N.D.) Public School District was recently named North Dakota Superintendent of the Year.

Jack Maus was chosen by the North Dakota Association of School Administrators for the award, which will place him in the national competition. He will be honored in February with other national finalists at a conference in Phoenix, Ariz.

Maus was hired as superintendent of the district in 2006 after spending about 30 years as an educator. He serves on a number of boards for state associations and local organizations.

Central Middle School Principal Michael Kaiser said in the short time he's worked for the school, he's found Maus to be a great leader. Kaiser was hired as principal this year.

"He was very instrumental in our building projects and renovation, which were just completed," Kaiser said. "He (also) really shares his time and talents through the different organizations and groups he's involved in."
